This resolved similar issues with 2 servers in a farm that we had . same errors. System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

again able to read policies ok. able to create computer policies. only get the issue when attempt to edit or change a user policy. 2008 r2. version 6.0 . most windows patches. had hotfix rollup pack1.
